Claire has ten years experience in catchment and environmental management having worked in State and Local Government as well as for local catchment authorities.

Education & Promotion
Claire is experienced in developing and implementing a broad range of educational initiatives. This includes the development of display and presentation of materials for front-of-house and field days, the development of issue specific community education and training programs and the development of media releases, brochures, booklets, posters to meet many clients needs.
Claire has developed complete programs for health and environmental issues such as blue-green algae, recycling, water pollution and on-site sewage management.
Policy Development and Implementation
Claire has been the primary officer responsible for the development of local policy development and its subsequent implementation at a Local Government Level. This includes the interpretation of legislation in relation to the policy and the development of realistic programs to implement the requirements of the legislation.
Her range of experience include developing policies such as Stormwater Management, Companions Animal Management, Landfill Management, Contaminated Land Management and On-site Sewage Treatment System Management.
Environmental Enforcement
Claire has been involved in the interpretation, implementation and enforcement of environmental legislation at a state and local government level for most of her career. This work has included the issuing of Approvals and Licences, and the inspection of scheduled and unscheduled premises for a wide range of industries including; extractive, glass and gas manufacturing, foundries, waste facilities, food waste and milk processing, chemical manufacture, printing and more.
In addition, Claire has been involved in a number of investigations and prosecutions including the successful prosecution of a spill of hexavalent chromium from an electroplater.
Catchment Management and Regional Plans
Claire has been involved in catchment and regional planning for her entire career. Claire commenced her career working as a project officer for a catchment management authority implementing a number of new initiatives in the catchment whilst contributing to a catchment management committee as a community member before commencing work in the state government.
Later in her working life, Claire became a local government representative on a catchment and regional environmental plan committee along with a number of roles in health, waste education and onsite effluent management committees.
